Easter 2025, 2026 and 2027
Easter is the biggest religious holiday of the year in Dominican Republic, being far more of a festive event than Christmas. Good Friday is a public holiday each year.

As most Dominicans are Roman Catholic, all Holy Week from Palm Sunday through Easter Sunday is widely observed.
The peak of Easter season begins on Good Friday. Some will attend midnight Mass on Holy Saturday to welcome the dawn of Easter Morning, when Jesus is believed to have arose from the dead.
Others, however, picnic during the day and stay up dancing, blasting music, and partying all night.
